There are 3 stages to the selection process for our Associate roles.

Stage 1

On-line application, please submit your CV and answers to the following application questions:

  1. Please explain why you have applied for the role of Associate at the FSA. (Max 300 words)
  2. Why do you believe that you are suitable for this role? Please ensure that you specifically relate your answer to the criteria listed in the job advert, covering your relevant skills, technical knowledge and competencies. (Max 300 words)
  3. Please provide an example of how you managed a demanding workload to deliver the outcomes required. What tools and methods did you use? (Max 300 words)
  4. Please provide an example of how you made a timely and appropriate judgement based on sound analysis, as well as on your experience. We are particularly interested in an example where you analysed complex information and took account of the risks involved. (Max 300 words)

If you are successful at the application stage, you will be invited to:

Stage 2

Telephone Interview, which will further explore your answers to the application questions above conducted by FSA Team Leaders and Managers. If you are successful at this stage, you will be invited to:

Stage 3

Assessment Centre, which will be assessed by FSA Team Leaders and Managers. This will involve a Numerical Critical Reasoning Test, a case study and presentation, and a competency based interview.

Relationship Manager

There are 3 stages to the selection process for our Relationship Manager roles.

Stage 1

Online application process, involving the submission of your CV and answers to the following questions (max 300 words each):

  1. Please explain why you have applied for the role of Relationship Manager at the FSA.
  2. Why do you believe that you are suitable for this role? Please ensure that you specifically relate your answer to the criteria listed in the job advert, covering your relevant skills, technical knowledge and competencies. (Max 300 words)
  3. Please provide an example of how you made a timely and appropriate judgement based on sound analysis, as well as on your experience. We are particularly interested in an example where you analysed complex information and took account of the risks involved.
  4. Please provide an example of how you managed a demanding workload to deliver the outcomes required. What tools and methods did you use?
  5. Please provide an example of a situation where you proactively established and maintained relationships with stakeholders. What level of responsibility did the stakeholders have? If you successfully pass this stage, you will be invited to:

Stage 2

Telephone Interview, which will further explore your answers to the application questions above. If you successfully pass this stage, you will be invited to:

Stage 3

Assessment Centre, which will be assessed by FSA Team Leaders and Managers. This will involve a Numerical Critical Reasoning Test, a case study and presentation, and a competency based interview.

Unfortunately feedback on your performance during the selection process cannot be provided unless you attend the assessment centre. This is due to the high volume of recruitment involved in this particular campaign. If you are unsuccessful at any stage it is because you have not demonstrated the competencies and skills we require for the role(s).

Risk professional

To apply for a risk professional role within the Prudential Risk Division click here and search under the area you would like to work in. The areas are:

  • Insurance Risk
  • Structured Finance
  • Traded Products
  • Operational Risk / Settlements / IT
  • Credit Risk – Retail and Corporate
  • Credit Modelling / Stress Testing
  • Economic Capital, Pillar 2 and modelling team
  • Counterparty and Collateral management team / Securities

There are 3 stages to the selection process for our Risk professional roles.

Stage 1

Online application process, involving the submission of your CV and answer to the following question (max 300 words each):

Role

  • Please explain why you are interested in applying for this role.
  • One technical question (depends on role)

Stage 2

Technical Interview: this will take place with two Managers or a Manager and a Senior Associate to assess your technical skills and experience.

If you successfully pass this stage, you will be invited to:

Stage 3

Competency Interview: this will take place with two different Managers and /or Senior Associates to assess the FSA core competencies and any uncovered technical skills and experience from the first interview.

A decision will be taken at this stage as to whether you need a third interview.

Psychometric tests may be administered for certain roles. You will be given information on this prior to the interview stages.
