Supervision
Regulatory Grade B Associates
We are looking for candidates from a variety of backgrounds with strong intellectual ability, good financial analysis and numerical skills alongside good relationship building and communication skills. You do not have to have financial services experience although this is of course welcomed. You may be looking for your second job having completed a graduate scheme in or out of financial services industry.

The FSA has a framework of technical competencies for supervisors which define what they need to know and do ‘on the job’. The FSA is looking for individuals who have the willingness and ability to become proficient in these areas. Training and support will be provided to help new supervisors reach the required standard
- Regulatory Framework — ability to outline and apply the FSA’s regulatory framework of principles, rules and guidance.
- Risk — ability to identify, measure, monitor and mitigate risks to the FSA’s statutory objectives using FSA tools and processes
- Governance, Oversight & Controls — ability to assess the effectiveness of arrangements in firms to deliver adequate governance, oversight and controls over their businesses and provide an appropriate response.
- Financial Analysis — ability to interpret firms' financial returns and other relevant financial information, to identify and investigate risk factors.
- Market Awareness — ability to demonstrate practical awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment and identify how developments will affect a range of firms.
- Business Strategies and Models — ability to describe the nature and implications of a firm’s business strategies and models.
- Knowledge Management — ability to store, retrieve, share and use knowledge effectively and securely.
- Operating within the FSA — understand the role of relationship management supervision and interact effectively with the wider organisation
Enforcement Lawyers and Forensic Investigators
We are seeking forensic investigators with proven skills in interviewing, investigation and critical analysis to work in our Wholesale and Retail departments.
As we bring both criminal prosecutions and civil/regulatory cases we need lawyers who can bring expertise to either or both of those areas.
